This dish has come in handy many times when I am making the entree, the side dish is baking. It is a very good with pork, chicken or beef. Ingredients:
1 cup long-grain rice |
2 cans beef consomme |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, undrained |
1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces |
Directions:
1. Thoroughly combine all ingredients in a covered casserole. 2. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. 3. Remove cover and bake another 15 minutes. 4. Fluff with a fork before serving. |
