Ingredients:
4 eggs, separated |
2 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 teaspoon ground allspice |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ground cloves |
1 cup raisins |
1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell |
Directions:
1. Beat egg yolks with a wire whisk in a large mixing bowl; add sugar, vinegar, spices, and raisins; mix well. 2. Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until stiff peaks form. Fold into raisin mixture. Pour filling into pastry shell. Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool. |
