easy side dish Ingredients:
3 tablespoons olive oil |
1 onions, chopped |
10 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced |
2 cups chicken broth |
2 cups water |
2 cups orzo (i113678) |
1 salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. 2. Saute onion and mushrooms until tender and golden brown. 3. Pour in broth and water, bring to a boil. 4. Stir in orzo, reduce heat to low, and cover. 5. Simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes. 6. If after 15 minutes there is still liquid, remove cover, and cook until liquid is gone. 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste |
