Always looking for an easy side that isn't potato and this is one of them. Ingredients:
1 small onion, chopped |
4 tbls. butter |
1 1/3 cup orzo, uncooked |
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) beef consomme |
1 cup water |
1 small can mushrooms, undrained |
1 tbls. worcestershire sauce |
1/4-1/2 tsp. soy sauce |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. In skillet, saute onion in butter until tender 2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil 3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until pasta is tender and liquid is gone |
