I changed an Orzo recipe on it's package around to resemble rice pilaf. Its really just toasted rice shaped pasta with spaghetti pasta! Ingredients:
1/2 box orzo |
1 small handful spaghetti broken |
3-4 tblsp butter |
2 3/4 cups chicken broth (i like knorr) |
Directions:
1. Brown Orzo and spaghetti in a pan with butter at above medium heat. Toasting in pan until golden brown. You must stay close and stir frequently to avoid burning and uneven toasting. 2. Add broth. 3. Bring to boil. 4. Drop heat to low and cover. 5. Cook 20 min. 6. Lift lid and stir, remove from heat. 7. Cover and let sit until ready to consume. |
