Given to me in 1987, I was told this was the original recipe and all the other versions were variations of it. I thought you'd enjoy this. Anyway all versions are deilcious. This is one a several box mix recipes I have collected although I prefer to bake mine from scratch! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 pkg marble cake mix |
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding mix |
2 lbs ricotta cheese |
3 eggs |
2 tsp vanilla |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 cup milk |
8 0z cool whip |
Directions:
1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. 2. Place batter in greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan. 3. In another bowl mix the ricotta, eggs, vanilla and sugar and mix well. 4. Pour over cake mix in pan spreading all but 1/2 inch from the edges. 5. Smooth evenly. 6. Bake 60 minutes and remove cake from oven. 7. Cool cake at least 4 hours. 8. Mix pudding with 1 cup cold milk. 9. Mix in the cool whip. 10. Spread over the cooled cake. 11. Refrigerate cake overnight |
