Oriental Sweet and Sour Meatballs |

My dad can't have grains with meat, so I found a recipe for meatballs that didn't include bread crumbs. They are really tasty! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 teaspoon white sugar |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon ginger |
3 teaspoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 small onion, grated |
1/3 cup white vinegar |
1/2 cup white sugar |
3 ounces tomato paste or 3 ounces soup |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 cup water (use pineapple juice) |
1 (15 ounce) can pineapple |
Directions:
1. Meatballs: Combine all ingredients. Knead for 2 minutes for proper marination. Form into balls. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350°F for 20 minutes or until done. 2. Sauce: In sauce pan on medium heat whisk all ingredients together except pineapple. Stir with whisk while bringing to a boil. Add meatballs and pineapple, heat. |
