Oriental Pork With Noodles |

Had something similar at our local oriental restaurant & found this recipe yrs ago. Really yummy! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean pork, cubed |
pasta |
1/2 lb vermicelli |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sesame oil |
4 ounces peanuts, finely chopped |
marinade |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1 tablespoon dry sherry |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
pasta sauce |
3 tablespoons dry sherry |
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder |
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
6 ounces water chestnuts |
6 scallions, diced |
2 tablespoons oil (for frying meat) |
Directions:
1. Place pork in marinade & refridgerate 30 minute. 2. Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente, drain & rinse. 3. Place in mixing bowl & combine with first sesame oil & soy sauce. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Just before serving, top with peanuts. 4. Combine ingredients for Sauce & set aside. 5. Heat 2 T oil in large skillet. 6. Stir fry pork for 4 or 5 minutes. 7. Add water chestnuts & scallions, stir fry another minute or 2. 8. Pour in Sauce & bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. 9. Serve over the oriental pasta. |
