Somthing different- in salads. This has a great texture with the fried noodles Ingredients:
salad |
1/2-1 chinese cabbage or savoy cabbage, shredded finely |
6 green onions/shallots/spring onions, chopped |
100g lightly roasted slivered almonds or pine nuts |
100g fried noodles |
dressing |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
1/4 cup castor sugar |
1 tbsp soy sauce |
2 tsp sesame oil |
1/2 cup olive oil |
Directions:
1. Combine all dressing inreds in a suacepan and stir well ove low heat til sugar is dissolved. Cool 2. Toss cabbage, green onions and almonds in a salad bowl 3. Add dressing and mix well 4. Just before serving, add noodles and toss thoroughly 5. To make this even better- add shredded bbq chicken or bbq pork |
