This is meant to be an oriental dressing invented by Chef Ron whom I used to work for. But this is a healthier hot bacon dressing. (no bacon grease) Great on any type of greens. Ingredients:
5 tablespoons diced onions |
1 1/2 teaspoons diced garlic |
1 3/4 teaspoons dry mustard |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon sugar |
5 tablespoons steak sauce |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
4 teaspoons soy sauce |
5 ounces red wine vinegar |
5 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 1/4 teaspoons salt |
3/4 teaspoon pepper |
15 ounces oil |
6 1/2 teaspoons honey |
sliced green onion, for garnish |
6 pieces bacon, fried in strips, cooled and crumbled (discard bacon grease) |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients, except green onions, in food processor until well blended a minute or two. Best served hot poured over spinach salad with bacon, green onions to garnish and hard boiled eggs (opp). Can be used cold too. |
