Chili made with oriental vegetables Martha Anne Bernard got this recipe in Japan. The Oriental flavour is a nice variation on Chili. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
4 onions, diced |
1 (48 ounce) can tomato juice |
1 (750 g) bag frozen oriental-style vegetables |
1 lb fresh bean sprout |
4 tablespoons chili powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, ground |
Directions:
1. In a Dutch-oven fry beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. 2. Add tomato juice, vegetables, sprouts, chili powder and salt and pepper and bring to boil. 3. Reduce heat and simmer one hour until thick and bubbly. 4. Garnish with ground Parmesan cheese. |
