This is from a OAMC cookbook I borrowed from my friend I'm posting to save for later. Let me know how it is if you try it before I do. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons margarine |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 cup chicken broth |
1 cup water |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 cups chopped cooked chicken |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 (5 ounce) can chow mein noodles |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over low heat. 2. Add flour and continue to stir over medium heat until bubbly. 3. Add broth, water, soy sauce, garlic powder, chicken, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes. 4. Cool and freeze in a 1-gallon freezer bag. 5. To prepare for serving, thaw chicken. 6. Heat in a pan until bubbly. 7. Serve over chow mein noodles. |
