Another 'what's in the pantry' recipe on the sweet side. Hope you like it. Pictures after I upload them tomorrow. Ingredients:
1 box organic chocolate cake |
chocolate graham crackers |
butter |
little marshmallows |
dark chocolate bits |
peanut butter |
unsalted butter |
alton brown makes a pastry bag out of a large glad bag by putting mixture in and cutting the tip out after. |
Directions:
1. Prepare packaged cake according to directions 2. put aside 3. crush one sleeve of chocolate grahams between 2 sheets of wax paper 4. melt enough unsalted butter in pan to make a crust while add ing crushed crackers 5. in a 9x13 pyrex baking dish that has been greased very well 6. spread cracker mixture 7. add a layer of the chocolate bits and a layer of marshmallows 8. pour cake mix over 9. bake according to directions about 40 minutes 10. allow to cool 11. when almost cool prepare the following 12. melt butter with peanut butter in a saucepan and keep thick 13. enough to put in pastry bag and make a checkerboard pattern or whatever pattern you wish 14. - 15. Serve with scoops of chocolate-chip mint ice cream. |
