This is a recipe I picked up as an Army wife in Texas...It is always a crowd pleaser and is a nice change from the usual cookies or cake for entertaining. They also taste AMAZING dipped in white chocolate, and/or coated with whatever you're in the mood for. Read more . Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 package oreo cookies, divided (1 lb, 2 oz) |
1 8 oz package philadelphia cream cheese, softened |
2 packages (8 oz. each) bakers semisweet baking chocolate, melted |
Directions:
1. Crush 9 of the cookies (using a food processor or a zip-lock bag and rolling pin) to fine crumbs and set aside to use later. 2. In a medium bowl, crush the remaining cookies to fine crumbs. 3. Add softened cream cheese and mix until well blended. 4. Roll cookie mixture into about 45 balls, 1 inch in diameter. 5. Dip balls in chocolate and place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. 6. Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs. 7. Refrigerate for about an hour. 8. Enjoy! 9. **You can also roll these more like logs and slice them before serving** |
