good stuff Ingredients:

11/3c oreo baking crumbs |
1/3c butter, melted |

8 squares semi-sweet chocolate |
1/2c unsalted butter |
1t hot coffee |
2 eggs, separated |
3/4c icing sugar |
500ml oreo vanilla ice cream ( i add crumbled oreo's to |
regular vanilla ice cream |
topping |
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate |
3t butter |
1t corn syrup |
Directions:
1. For crust mix together crumbs and melted butter and press into a 9'' springform pan. Set aside. FILLING: Melt chocolate with butter over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. In a medium bowl beat egg yolks with coffee and icing sugar until fluffy. 2. Slowly pour in melted chocolate and mix well. 3. In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into chocolate mixture. Pour over crust and freeze (about 2 hours) Spread ice cream evenly over chocolate layer. Freeze until firm. Unmould. 4. TOPPING: Melt chocolate with butter and corn syrup and pour over top and down sides of torte. Freezre for several hours or overnight. 5. Garnish with whipped cream and mini oreos. When ready to serve, carefully slice with a hot knife. |
