I'd bought a canister of TANG for another recipe, (Florida Fruit Salad - it's fantastic. ) and searched the web for more recipes with TANG. Biting into these muffins are like biting into a big juicy orange. They're best served warm right out of the oven; they lose a little of their punch after they've cooled down. Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups flour |
1/4 cup tang orange crystals |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
3/4 cup milk |
1/3 cup oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Mix flour, drink mix, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl; set aside. 3. Beat egg, milk and oil in small bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. (Batter will still be lumpy.). 4. Spoon evenly into 12 greased medium muffin cups, filling each cup 2/3 full. 5. Bake 15 minute or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. |
