Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon plus 2 |
teaspoons cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup water |
1 tablespoon butter or margarine |
1 teaspoon grated orange rind |
1/4 cup fresh orange juice |
1/4 teaspoon orange extract |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water in a medium saucepan, stirring until dry ingredients dissolve. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear. Add butter, orange rind, juice, and flavoring. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Serve warm over pudding. |
