I love citrus in just about anything, this cake is no exception. This is a basic recipe that tastes so good. Ingredients:
1 cup raisins |
1/2 cup nuts |
2 oranges, zest of |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
2 eggs |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 1/2 cups flour |
confectioners' sugar, for dusting |
Directions:
1. Put raisins, nuts and zest through a grinder. 2. Set aside. 3. Cream butter with sugar; stir in eggs and buttermilk, mixing well. 4. Add soda, flour and ground mixture. 5. Pour batter into a greased and floured bundt pan. 6. Bake in a 350 oven 45 to 60 minutes. 7. Dust with confectioners sugar. |
