A little twist to your classic pie crust. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 tablespoon orange rind, grated |
3/4 cup vegetable shortening |
1/3 cup cold water (or more) |
Directions:
1. Cut shortening into the flour, mixed with the salt sugar, and orange rind. 2. Add just enough water for dough to form into a ball. 3. *Make sure shortening is not soft as this is what adds to the flakiness of the crust. |
