The orange liqueur and zest really make this a stand-out dessert! Ingredients:
8 ounces light margarine |
6 ounces semisweet chocolate |
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
3/4 cup egg white, at room temperature |
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
2 tablespoons orange liqueur |
1 tablespoon grated orange zest |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 cup pecans, chopped (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F Grease & flour 9x13 baking pan. 2. Melt margarine & chocolates in double boiler. Set aside & cool. 3. Using electric mixer on medium speed, cream together sugar and eggs. Continue beating 2 minutes. 4. With mixer on low, add flour, liqueur, zest and salt. 5. Add cooled chocolate mixture and blend well. Stir in nuts. 6. Pour into pan & bake 20-25 minutes. |
