This is the best glazed carrot recipe. I came across it in my grandmother's receipts. It will intensify the flavor if you use frozen orange juice and make it strong. It's sweet, tart, and buttery. Ingredients:
2 lbs carrots |
1/8 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
1/2-3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/2 cup orange juice |
2 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Cut carrots into 1/2 angle slicesCook carrots until tender-crisp in sauce pan and drain. 2. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt,ginger, and orange juice together and pour over carrots. 3. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes stirring constantly until thickened. 4. Add 2 tablespoons butter and toss. |
