This is an awesome overnight brunch dish with a hint of orange. So good with a nice latte in the morning. Ingredients:
6 eggs, lightly beaten |
3/4 cup orange juice |
1/2 cup half-and-half |
2 tbsp sugar |
1 tsp vanilla |
1/2 tsp orange peel |
8 thick slices cinnamon bread |
1/4 cup butter melted |
Directions:
1. In a shallow bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Dip both sides of bread into the egg mixture. Let soak for 5 min. 2. Place in a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight. 3. In the morning, uncover and drizzle with the melted butter. 4. Bake at 325 for 35 to 40 minutes, or until browned. 5. Serve with your favorite syrup. |
