This tangy orange dip is the perfect side for fresh fruit such as apple slices or strawberries. Try this as a low-cal snack when you are craving something sweet. Ingredients:
1 (8-ounce) carton vanilla low-fat yogurt |
3 tablespoons light process cream cheese, softened |
1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges in light syrup, drained and chopped |
1 teaspoon sugar |
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice |
Directions:
1. Spoon yogurt onto several layers of heavy-duty paper towels; spread to 1/2-inch thickness. Cover with additional paper towels; let stand 5 minutes. 2. Scrape yogurt into a bowl, using a rubber spatula. Add cream cheese and remaining ingredients, stirring well with a wire whisk until blended. Serve with fresh fruit such as apple or pear slices, strawberries, or pineapple chunks. |
