Ingredients:
8 1/2 ounces orange juice, freshly squeezed, divided |
1/2 orange zest, finely grated |
1/2 cup whole milk |
1 tablespoon powdered sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Pour 6 1/2 ounces of orange juice into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid. 2. Store the remaining 2 ounces of juice plus the zest in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. 3. After orange juice cubes have solidified (approximately 2 hours) - combine them with the reserved juice and zest, milk, powdered sugar and vanilla into the carafe of a blender. 4. Blend until smooth and slushy (about 30 - 45 seconds). 5. Serve immediately. 6. *Cooking time is freezing time. |
