From our Canadian neighbors at Peak of the Market, we have this gift of a fine recipe. It is deliciously different, tasty and refreshing. Great on a burger also, not just as a side dish. Ingredients:
plain yogurt 1/4 cup |
mayonnaise 1/4 cup |
orange juice, freshly squeezed 1/4 cup |
white vinegar 3 tbsp |
honey 1 1/2 tsp |
l green cabbage, shreddd 7 cup |
carrot, shredded 1 cup |
red onion, thinly sliced 1/2 cup |
- salt & pepper to taste |
paprika |
suggestion: toasted sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl; whisk together yogurt, mayonnaise, orange juice, vinegar and honey. 2. Add cabbage, carrots and onion. Stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or up to two days. 3. Serve in a pretty bowl or on a platter lined with dark green cabbage leaves. Spinkle paprika and seeds on top |
