ORANGE CHEESECAKE WITH CRANBERRY ORANGE TOPPING This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Jarvis Estate in Frisco, Texas in 2007. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/3 cup melted butter |
1 tablespoon orange zest chopped fine |
filling |
24 ounces cream cheese softened |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
4 eggs |
1 cup sour cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 tablespoons orange liqueur |
2 tablespoons orange zest |
topping |
1 orange chopped into quarters |
1 pound cranberries |
1/4 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, butter and orange zest then press into spring form pan. 2. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes then combine cream cheese and sugar and blend well. 3. Add flour then add eggs one at a time blending well after each addition. 4. Stir in sour cream, liqueur and orange zest then pour over crust and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. 5. Turn oven off and let cheesecake cool down in oven for 1 hour. 6. Loosen edges and refrigerate. 7. Put orange pieces, cranberries and sugar in food processor and pulse until desired consistency. 8. Top cheesecake with half of the mixture and pass the other half with the cake. |
