A creamy fluffy mousee like custard enclosed by ladyfingers with a hint of orange Ingredients:
20 to 24 lady fingers |
1 pt. whipping cream |
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin |
juice of one large fresh orange |
grated rind of one orange |
4 tbsp. sugar |
1 tbsp. vanilla extract or orange extract |
Directions:
1. Prep does not include overnight chilling 2. Place ladyfingers around sides and bottom of bowl 3. Whip cream until thick. 4. In separate bowl, mix gelatin , orange juice., sugar and vanilla. 5. Gently heat and stir to dissolve gelatin. 6. Let cool to room temp 7. Slowly add to whipped cream, beating while adding mixture 8. Fill ladyfinger bowl with mixture 9. Let sit overnight in refrigerator to firm 10. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate curls or candied orange rind 11. Note: there are no eggs in this recipes |
