Chinese NewYear is around the corner and kitchen is full of oranges . So , I came up with dis recipe . Ingredients:
2 mandarin oranges |
200 g butter |
1 c caster sugar |
4 small eggs |
2 c flour |
1 c almonds , grounded |
1 tsp baking soda |
1 c buttermilk |
1 tsp vanilla essence |
make syrup by boiling |
1 c sugar and 1 c orange juice for few mins . |
melt 2 tbsp orange marmalade in . |
Directions:
1. PRE HEAT OVEN AT 180 DEG C . 2. SIMMER THE CLEAN ORANGES IN HOT BOILING WATRE FOR 30 MINS . 3. COOL AND PUREE UNTIL SMOOTH . 4. SET ASIDE . 5. CREAM THE BUTTER AND SUGAR . 6. ADD THE BUTTERMILK AND ALL THE ING. 7. MIX WELL . 8. ADD THE PUREE AND ESSENCE . MIX WELL . 9. BAKE FOR 50 MINS . 10. POUR THE SYRUP ON TOP . |
