Smile and say cheesecake with orange flavor and a butterscotch glaze! Ingredients:
*****crust |
1 1/4 cups old fashioned or quick oats, uncooked |
1/4 cup margarine, melted |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
*******filling |
3 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
2 teaspoons grated orange peel |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
4 eggs |
********topping |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1/3 cup light corn syrup |
1/4 cup margarine, melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. ****CRUST**** 2. Combine oats, margarine, brown sugar and flour; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. 3. Bake at 350 degrees F , for 15 minutes 4. *****FILLING***** 5. Combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, orange peel & vanilla. 6. Mix at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended 7. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. 8. Pour over crust 9. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour and 5 minutes 10. Loosen cake from rim of pan 11. Cool before removing rim of pan 12. CHILL 13. *******TOPPING******* 14. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine in saucepan. 15. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 16. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla 17. chill until slightly thickened. 18. Spoon over cheesecake 19.
