From a TOH mag. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1/4 cup baking cocoa |
2 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate |
1 tablespoon grated orange peel |
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar |
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, softened |
2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate |
1 tablespoon grated orange peel (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in cocoa until smooth. Remove from the heat. In a bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Without stirring, add the sugar, flour, pecans, orange juice concentrate, peel and salt. Pour cocoa mixture over the top; mix well. Transfer to a greased 8 inch square baking pan. 2. Bake at 350 degrees for 28-32 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely on a wire rack. For frosting, combine confectioners' sugar, butter and orange juice concentrate; mix well. Spread over the brownies. Cut into bars; garnish with orange peel if desired. |
