This bread calls for 1 cup of grinded orange (skin and all) Ingredients:
4 cups pre-sifted flour |
1 2/3 cups sugar |
6 teaspoons double action baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 orange, grinded to make one cup skin and all |
1 1/2 cups milk |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup cooking oil |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs in mixing bowl until thick. Add oil and beat for one minute. 2. Combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder; add to egg mixture. 3. Add one cup orange. 4. On low speed of mixer add milk slowly. Put mixer to medium speed and beat 2 minutes. 5. Divide into 3 greased and floured one pound loaf pans and allow to stand 20 minutes before baking. 6. Place in a 400* oven until loaves rise to the top of the pan and start to brown slightly, turn the oven to 300* and score tops once lengthwise with the point of a sharp knife. 7. Bake about 20 minutes more or until tests done. 8. Allow to stand in pan 10 minutes. |
