Orange Blossom Special Pie |

This easy- to -put -together pie is rich, buttery & delicious. I've had the recipe forever; don't even remember where I got it, but it's a keeper! Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/4 teasp. salt |
4 teasps. all-purpose flour |
4 teasps. yellow cornmeal |
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine |
1/2 cup fresh, strained orange juice |
grated rind of 2 medium oranges |
1/4 cup milk |
4 eggs; at room temperature |
1 unbaked, 9-inch, deep-dish pastry shell |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, flour, cornmeal & salt; mixing well. Add butter, orange juice, rind & milk; stir well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 2. Pour mixture into pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes, or until set. (If pie is browning too quickly, it is O.K. to finish baking at 325 degrees F.) |
