A Florida Girl scout cooking badge was earned with this recipe. It was out of Gma-Robert's book of war time recipes. No butter used.
Ingredients:
1 package of vanilla wafers, crushed with a big old rolling pin
3/4 cup of coconut
3/4 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 cup of fresh strained orange juice
Directions:
1. Mix the finely crushed crumbs, sugar and coconut.
2. Add juice and mix well.
3. Form into one inch balls.
4. Roll into more powdered sugar.
5. Put in air tight container.
6. Better when over a day old.
7. Flavors have to mellow.
