Soaking the onion in ice water takes away some of the sting. Ingredients:
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion |
2 cups ice water |
3 navel oranges |
2 avocados, chopped |
2 tablespoons lime juice |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Combine onion and water in a bowl; let stand 30 minutes. Drain well. 2. Peel and section oranges; cut orange sections in half crosswise. Place in a medium bowl. Add onion and avocado; sprinkle with lime juice and salt, tossing gently to combine. |
