Wonderful cake bursting with orange and apricot flavor. Ingredients:
1 box duncan hines yellow cake mix |
1 small box orange jello |
3/4 cup oil |
3/4 cup apricot nectar |
4 eggs |
1/4 teaspoon orange extract |
1/4 teaspoon lemon extract |
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract |
icing |
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar |
1/4 cup orange juice |
grated orange rind |
Directions:
1. In large mixer bowl, with an electric mixer, combine cake mix and jello 2. Add oil and apricot nectar 3. Mix on low to blend 4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition 5. Beat for about 1 minute more 6. Add extracts 7. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt cake pan 8. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour 9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes 10. Turn onto cake plate or stand 11. ICING 12. In bowl, combine powdered sugar and orange juice 13. Add grated orange rind 14. Spoon slowly over cake 15. THIS CAKE ALSO CAN BE MADE IN A 9 X 13 PAN |
