This simple, but delicious recipe comes from my Mayberry cookbook. Real lemons are a must! Ingredients:
6 lemons |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 1/2 quarts water |
Directions:
1. Slice lemon into thin rings. 2. Place in a porcelain or enamel container. 3. Add the sugar and pound with wooden mallet to extract the juice. 4. Let the mixture stand for 20 minutes. 5. Add the cold water and ice cues as desired. 6. Stir until well blended. |
