I got this recipe from the cheif at a small-town Texas restaurant. People come from miles around to get a slice of this treat! Ingredients:
1 (1 lb) cake mix (any flavor) |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup butter (melted) |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened) |
1 (1 lb) box powdered sugar |
1/2 cup butter (melted) |
2 eggs |
2 tablespoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. For cake:. 2. Mix cake mix, butter, and eggs until well blended. 3. Form into a 13x9 greased pan. 4. For icing:. 5. Mix the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, eggs, and powdered sugar in a bowl. 6. Mix well until blended. 7. Pour the icing on top of the cake 8. Cook at 325 degrees for 35 minutes or until golden brown (will wiggle, but settle as it cools). |
