Give it a try, it's so easy. Ingredients:
1/2 lb yellow onion, thinly sliced |
1 teaspoon salt, divided |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons butter |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
2 eggs |
3/4 cup water |
3/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, saute the onions with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper in butter until tender but not browned. 2. Divide among eight 6 ounce ramekins or custard cups. 3. In a large bowl, combine flour and remaining salt. 4. Combine the eggs, water and milk, whisk into flour mixture just until blended. 5. Fill each ramekin with 1/4 cup batter. 6. Bake at 400°F for 30-35 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. 7. Serve immediately. |
