In Swedish, this is called Löksås. Serve with pork. Makes 4 servings.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/4 cups chopped onions
2 tablespoons flour
2 1/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash sugar
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Saute onions slowly, stirring occasionally, until soft.
2. Sprinkle with flour.
3. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring, until smooth and thickened.
4. Add salt and sugar.
5. Serve.
