This is great with a nice juicy grilled burger with cheese and a iced cold Guinness Ingredients:
4 cups oil |
2 cups flour |
1 tsp cayenne pepper |
1 tsp baking powder |
2 tsp cornstarch |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 ground white pepper |
1 12oz guinness room temperature |
1 large yellow onion sliced |
side of ranch |
side of ketchup |
salt |
Directions:
1. Add oil to a pan 2. Place 1/2 cup of the flour, cayenne pepper in a plastic bag 3. In a medium bowl combine remaining flour, baking powder, cornstarce, salt, pepper, whisk in guinness until smooth 4. Place sliced onions in flour mixture and coat well 5. Add to beer batter 6. Fry 2 - 3 minutes until browned 7. Place on paper towel 8. Season with salt 9. Serve hot with side of ranch and ketchup |
