These are delicious! Ingredients:
3/4 cup flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon plain cornmeal |
3/4 cup milk |
2 medium onions, finely chopped |
peanut oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, pepper and cornmeal. 2. Add milk and mix well. 3. Stir in onions. 4. Drop small mounds of batter into shallow hot oil and fry 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. |
