We've been using this recipe for years over sirloin steak. Found this recipe about 20 years ago in one of those paperback grocery store check-out lines recipe books - best $1.50 I've ever spent (I told you it's was about 20 years ago!) Very good - you'll love the way it jazzes up steak. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons margarine or 4 tablespoons butter |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 medium onions, sliced |
1 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Sauté onions in margarine over low heat until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients. 3. Immediately serve over steak or leftover beef or pork slices. |
