                    Comfort food for a cold night! It tastes rich even if you use non-fat milk. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                2 cups onions, finely chopped in food processor  |  
                                                2 teaspoons salt  |  
                                                3 cups boiling water  |  
                                                2 cups milk  |  
                                                2 tablespoons butter, softened  |  
                                                2 tablespoons flour  |  
                                                fresh ground pepper  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Boil onions in salted water for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, add milk, and return almost to boiling. 2. Blend butter and flour; stir into soup; cook and stir until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes).                              |
