Delicious savoury pie that can be eaten hot or cold-goes well with a salad of your choice. Ingredients:
1 sheet pastry dough |
1 large onion |
1 (440 g) can mushroom soup, condensed |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 cup grated cheese |
3 eggs |
2 tablespoons mustard |
1 1/2 tablespoons plain flour |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). 2. Line pie pan with pastry. 3. Sauté finely diced onion in butter until tender. 4. Spread over pastry. 5. Sprinkle grated cheese over onion. 6. Blend eggs slightly beaten, flour and mustard. 7. Stir in mushroom soup (undiluted) and milk. 8. Pour over cheese and onion. 9. Bake 40-60 minutes. 10. Let stand 20 minutes before serving. |
