This is a recipe I got from a friend years ago. Have swapped out different types of cheeses. You can use all the varieties od seeds or just one. I love it with poppy seeds and kosher salt. Ingredients:
1 (12oz) bag frozen chopped onions |
16 oz shredded cheese |
6 tb butter |
3 c bisquick |
2 c milk2 eggs |
poppy,sesame and caraway seeds |
Directions:
1. Saute onions til caramelized a bit in butter. Mix together bisquick, milk and eggs. Add sauteed onion and 1/2 of the cheese to mixture. 2. Pour into greased 9x13 dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Sprinkle generously with seeds. 3. Drizzle 4 TB melted butter over top. 4. Bake at 400' for 20 mins. Cut when cool into pick up size pieces. |
