Use ingredients from your pantry along with some puff pastry to put together this simple and savory pot pie! I had some leftover game hen but you could use chicken or turkey depending on what you have on hand. Ingredients:
10 3/4 ounces low-fat cream of celery soup |
10 3/4 ounces low-fat cream of mushroom soup |
1 cup skim milk |
2 (16 ounce) cans mixed vegetables |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon white pepper |
1 tablespoon tarragon |
1 teaspoon marjoram |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 sheet puff pastry |
1 cornish hen, cooked |
Directions:
1. Strip meat of game hen from the bone; combine with soups, milk, vegetables, seasonings in a 9 x 13 baking pan. 2. Unroll defrosted puff pastry and place on top of mixture. 3. Bake at 375 degrees for 55 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. |
