This Kosher cake makes a tasty Rosh Hashana Cake, and is delicious with jam. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
4 cups flour, sifted |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon clove |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup honey |
1 cup coffee, cooked |
3/4 cup oil |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 eggs |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced |
Directions:
1. Sift all dry ingredients into a large bowl, stir together. Make a well and add all the liquid ingredients. Add raisins, nuts, and apples. 2. Spray a round tube pan with oil and bake at 350 degree oven for 45-60 minutes until a toothpick or knife comes clean. |
