simple chocolate cake Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup baking cocoa |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup vegetable oil |
1 cup buttermilk |
2 eggs |
1 cup hot water |
frosting, of your choice |
colored sprinkles, if desired (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. 2. Stir in oil, buttermilk, and eggs. 3. Add water and stir until combined. 4. Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-38 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. 5. Cool completely. 6. Frost as desired. |
