Big dark chewy soft molasses cookies with nuts! Childhood memories are extra! Ingredients:
grandma's molasses cookies |
1 1/4 c. flour |
3/4 baking soda |
1/2 tsp. baking powder |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 c. molasses (i use dark) |
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal |
1 c. raisins |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1 c. nuts, chopped |
1/2 c. shortening |
1/2 c. sugar (1/2 splenda) |
2 eggs |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices in mixing bowl. Add nuts and rest of ingredients. Mix until blended. To make jumbo cookies use 1/4 cup dough, for small cookies for use 1 teaspoon heaping drop on ungreased cooking sheet. 12 minutes. 4 dozen small or 1 dozen jumbo cookies |
