No matter where I take this, I always come home with an empty dish. But then, I usually triple the recipe. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
8 chicken thighs, skin removed |
10 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped |
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons honey |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (i usually use about 1 teaspoon fresh) |
Directions:
1. In large skillet, heat oil. Brown chicken on both sides. 2. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 2 to 3 minutes. 3. Drain off fat. 4. IN bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. 5. Pour over chicken. 6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. |
